JEE (Joint Entrance Exam)

JEE is a national level engineering entrance exam conducted for admission in various engineering colleges across India. This exam was first professed and conducted in the year 1960 and was named the Common Entrance Exam (CEE). JEE Main

JEE is a national level engineering entrance exam conducted for admission in various engineering colleges across India. This exam was first professed and conducted in the year 1960 and was named JEE Main in a nationwide engineering and architecture competitive entrance exam that is conducted twice a year by NTA. This exam is necessary for candidates who wish to take admission in various undergraduate engineering and architecture courses in India's best institutes. The students who score well in the JEE Main exams can easily get admission to NIT (National Institute of Technology) and IIT (India Institute of Technology).

Who is Eligible for JEE Main?

  1. Anyone who has passed 12th class or any other equivalent examination in the same year or preceding two years. However, if you appear for JEE Mains to get admission into a particular institute, then you must check their age limit requirements
  2. The colleges consider only one attempt for admission in an academic year.
  3. A candidate can appear for the JEE Mains exams for three consecutive years only
  4. It is the choice of the candidate whether they want to appear for the exam once or twice or more

JEE Advanced

JEE Advanced is the second phase of the Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) which is held all over India for students aspiring to take admission in engineering colleges. The scores of JEE Advanced are very important for getting into IIT and other esteemed engineering colleges in India. These colleges have only 10,988 seats for the 3 lakh students who appear for JEE Advanced. The JEE Advanced is organized on a rotational basis by the seven zonal IITs across India (IIT Roorkee, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Delhi, IIT Kanpur, IIT Bombay, IIT Madras, IIT Guwahati).

How can the candidate appear for the JEE Main exam?

Who is Eligible for JEE Advanced?

  1. All those candidates who come in the top 2,45,000 in the JEE Main Examination
  2. Those candidates who have qualified 12th standard within one year of the JEE Advanced exam
  3. The JEE Advanced have a particular age limit that needs to be followed when taking the exam. In General Category, the age of the candidate must be less than 25 years, and for SC/ST/PWD candidates, the age limit is not more than 30 years
  4. For JEE Advanced a student can only undertake two attempts in two consecutive years
  5. Only those candidates are allowed to attempt JEE Advanced who have not been given admission in any of the IITs in the past
